NITheCS roadshow to strengthen national network

Prof Francesco Petruccione, NITheCS Director, presents to Associates at North-West University on 21 April 2026

NITheCS has embarked on a roadshow aimed at strengthening connections across its national network and engaging more closely with its Associates.

The initiative kicked off on 21 April 2026, when Prof Francesco Petruccione and René Kotzé visited two branches in NITheCS’s North node, one of the Institute’s five regional groupings. The visits were facilitated by the North node head, Prof Du Toit Strauss.

They met with local Associates at North-West University before proceeding to Sol Plaatje University on 22 April, where further discussions were held.

The roadshow is designed to bring Associates together, introduce them more fully to NITheCS, and share the Institute’s vision and mission. By engaging directly with its branches, NITheCS aims to strengthen collaboration, build relationships, and expand its network across the country.

Over the coming weeks, additional visits to other branches are planned as part of this initiative, reinforcing NITheCS’s commitment to building a connected and collaborative research community in theoretical and computational sciences.
