A South African financial services organisation invites Master’s and PhD students from the NITheCS community to apply for an in-person workshop exploring how technology, AI and data can improve young South Africans’ financial lives.

Details

Participants will work in small teams to develop ideas and assess their practical feasibility, financial viability, legal implications and potential to earn users’ trust. No finance background is required; curiosity, constructive debate and perspectives from different disciplines are welcomed.

Dates and venues:

  • Friday, 9 October 2026: NITheCS Seminar Room, Stellenbosch University.

  • Wednesday, 14 October 2026: NITheCS Seminar Room, University of the Witwatersrand.

Transport is not provided.
