NITheCS Bursary Holders Present Research at Workshop
The NITheCS Bursary Holders Workshop is currently underway at the NITheCS offices in Stellenbosch, bringing together 22 bursary students from across the country for two days of presentations and academic engagement.
Taking place today and tomorrow, the workshop provides a platform for bursary holders to showcase their research, share ideas, and engage with peers and senior researchers. Each bursary holder is delivering a 10-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute question-and-answer session, encouraging discussion and constructive feedback.
The programme features a wide range of topics within theoretical and computational science, reflecting the diversity of research supported through the NITheCS bursary programme. In addition to the student presentations, the workshop includes contributions from guest speakers, Melissa Govender of the National Research Foundation and NITheCS Associate Prof Mesias Alfeus (Stellenbosch University), adding further depth and perspective to the event.
While the workshop is hosted in person at the NITheCS offices, NITheCS Associates have been invited to attend online, enabling broader participation from across the network.
The event offers a valuable opportunity for bursary holders to connect, collaborate, and strengthen their research communication skills. It also highlights NITheCS’s ongoing commitment to supporting postgraduate students and fostering the next generation of scientists.
The Bursary Holders Workshop remains a key event on the NITheCS calendar, showcasing the talent and innovation within its student community.
