The Department of Physics at UCT invites applications for a permanent academic position (teaching and research) at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor level.
The Department aims to strengthen its experimental research activities within the ALICE collaboration at CERN through the UCT-CERN Research Centre. UCT is actively engaged in ALICE detector upgrade projects.
Located near the Centre for High Performance Computing and the iThemba LABS accelerator facility, the Department also maintains an affiliation with the SA-CERN programme, which provides support for travel and infrastructure related to CERN projects.
