The School of Mathematics at the University of the Witwatersrand invites applications for three academic positions at the level of Associate Lecturer, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer. While applications from all areas of Mathematics are welcome, preference will be given to candidates with research expertise in Algebra, Analytic Combinatorics, Logic, or Number Theory.
The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to undergraduate teaching across the discipline; maintain an active and productive research profile; and participate in the academic administration of the School, Faculty, and University. In addition, appointees may be assigned teaching responsibilities for large first-year courses in Mathematics and/or Applied Mathematics.
