The Quantum@AIMS research group is offering two three-year PhD positions in quantum computing and quantum information, with the possibility of a one-year extension. The successful candidates will work on foundational mathematical problems at the intersection of quantum computing, machine learning theory, and cryptography.
PhD registration will be through the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Stellenbosch University. These positions are funded by the DAAD, providing opportunities for collaboration with, and annual research visits to, Freie Universität Berlin.
