The LBNL has an opening for a postdoctoral scholar, with focus on the development of new approaches to Bayesian Inference and Uncertainty Quantification (Bayesian UQ) using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. The position is hosted by the Relativistic Nuclear Collisions Program (RNC) in the NSD. The RNC carries out experimental research in a broad range of areas in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), with strong participation in the ALICE experiment at the LHC, the STAR and sPHENIX experiments at RHIC, and the future EPIC experiment at the EIC.
This is a full-time, 2-year postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of renewal. The monthly salary range for this position is $5,000 – $6,257 and is expected to start at $5,954 or above.
