Looking back, April brought World Quantum Day on 14 April. We celebrated with a hybrid public lecture by Dr Yaseera Ismail of the Quantum Research Group at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. You can watch the lecture here.
The Synergy Summit: High Performance Computing (HPC) for Sustainable Development in Government, Academia and Industry was attended by esteemed guests and speakers on 17 April. This series of hybrid lectures was part of the Advanced School for High Performance Computing for Sustainable Development presented by the ICTP, NITheCS and CHPC. Our congratulations go to the female grade 12 students who were selected for the 2023 STEM MentHER programme in Gauteng and the Western Cape. The programme supports young girls to pursue careers in the STEM fields. NITheCS is an active supporting partner of this initiative. For more details, click here.
