NITheCS again sponsored some of the prizes for students whose projects excelled at the annual Eskom Expo for Young Scientists International Science Fair.
The winners, who were each presented with a laptop for their outstanding project by Aluwani Guga on behalf of NITheCS, were:
- In the categories of Physics: Rinae Mudau (Nkangala district, Mpumalanga)
- In the categories of Mathematics: Witness Itumeleng Nkge (Bojanala district, North West)
- In the categories of Climate: Ciara Mlange (Ehlanzeni district, Mpumalanga)
- In the categories of Physics: Andiswa Mabuza (Nkangala district, Mpumalanga)
This event enables students from the 35 expo regions in South Africa to showcase their projects about their own scientific investigations and then compete against the best young scientists locally and abroad.
